The conference is open to scientists from academia and industry at all levels and comprises invited as well as contributed talks and poster sessions. Historically, there is a particularly strong focus on promoting interactions, with plenty of time set aside for discussion - after the lectures, at the coffee breaks, and poster sessions.
A funding application has been submitted to FEBS by the organizers.
Industrial partners interested in becoming conference sponsors are welcome to

The field of biological surfaces and interfaces unites researchers from diverse disciplines (physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, clinical disciplines) studying interfaces between biological systems and artificial materials, and within biological systems (such as cell membranes and their model, cell-extracellular matrix and cell-cell contacts, etc). Since 2003, Biological Surfaces and Interfaces Conferences served as the forum for
the European and international interdisciplinary researchers in the field to exchange their ideas and mentor generations of young scientists.
